Grants are funding resources that don’t have to be paid back to the government. This money is provided to those with financial hardship. Province Grants

 

Maintenance Grant

 

This can be as high as three thousand per semester

 

These type of grants are for unmarried students that also have children.

They are also available to students that are single and have maintenance payments

 

Definitions:

 

A 1 semester time is one through four months

A 2 semester time is five to nine months

A 3 semester time is ten months to a year a.k.a. twelve months

 

 

Fed Grants

 

This is fo canadian students from low income households.

The value of these funds is two hundred and fifty monthly for while attending.

 

These grants are made to qualifying students from low income households

That qualify for federal student loans

Have meet other specific grant requirements

Are students with current enrolement as undergaduates or trade schools or colleges

Attending a educational program that is at least 2 years in length

 

Student Grants For Middle Income Households

 

The sum is one hundred per month of education

 

This is of course available to those students from middle income households

These students also qualify for loans as students

They meet specific requirements to be eligable

These students have a child or children that are twelve years old or older that have

permanent physical or mental impairment and the child also requires care on a daily basis

 

Grants For Students that have A Permanent Disablilty

 

The value of this is two thousand yearly

 

Again available for those that qualify for student loans

Have disability that is permanent which meets the Canadian Student Loan eligibility

requirements

These students have also shown documentation that their disability is permanent submitted a schedule four as well.

 

Grants For Students that require special equipment or services:

 

This grant is for a max of eight thousand yearly

 

It is avialble for students of course that have a permanent disablity as mentioned by the Government Loan Program for students

These students have unique costs for education that relate to service or equipment in order to help them meet their educational goals.

These students have also submitted proper documentation to prove they have special equipment and service needs to help them obtain their educational outcomes

 

The Canadian Millennium Bursary for 2008 and 2009 is no longer available. This program stopped in August of 09. If you got one in 08 or 09 and are in the same educational program of study you might be able to get what is known as a Transition Grant.
