Cameo Ladies Head Vases
Lady head vases first appeared in the years just prior to World War II, but reached a peak in popularity during the 1950's when florists used them to promote flower sales.  By the end of the 60's, there was scarcely a home that did not enjoy the presence of at least one of these demure beauties.  Made from fine porcelain with all the feminine qualities to make the perfect holiday gift for the lady in your life.

Today, the original lady head vase is highly collectible with some reaching values over $1000.00.

Romantic overtures are in the air, as Abigail pens another heartfelt paean to her latest love.  Abigail raises eyes to the skies and follows a squadron of P-38 Lightnings as they take off for their next mission. She places one hand over her pounding heart and smiles bravely for her boys.  On the wrought-iron balcony of her Bourbon St. pied-a-terre, Abigail bewitches the gents who loiter on the cobblestones below as they wait for a glimpse of the magical mademoiselle.  Created in Stonecast™, the average size is 5" x 7", and the Miniature size is 3" x 4".

Taught in a one-room schoolhouse on the Nebraska Prairie in the 1800's. Still teaching there in 1924. In 1950, was back in Nebraska, had three children and was president of the local garden club. Her life in the 1960's was marked by a taste for high fashion and a large divorce settlement, but by 1973, she was growing long flowing locks and sewing her own granny dresses.  Created in Stonecast™, the average size is 5" x 7", and the Miniature size is 3" x 4".

A woman with a social conscience, in 1912 Blythe adored opera and theatre. By the 30's, she was the darling of cafe society, an intellectual, a painter of Cubist portraits and a writer of poetry and political diatribes. 1953 found Blythe fluent in five languages, employed as a translator for the Ambassador to Gaillardia. Elegantly coifed and attired, she made an impression on the handsome and charming monarch of that fair land.  Created in Stonecast™, the average size is 5" x 7", and the Miniature size is 3" x 4".

Elegant, with an artistic flair, Celeste still calls her mother when she needs advice, remembers the birthdays of every niece and nephew. In the 1920's, Celeste moved to New York to study ballet, was lured to the bright lights of Harlem, and became a star of musical revues.  A fabulous cook, Celeste invented vegetarian chic, writing the bestseller, "The 24-Hour Eggplant Diet". Became an instant celebrity, attending the 1987 Tony Awards.  Created in Stonecast™, the average size is 5" x 7", and the Miniature size is 3" x 4".

A party girl who just thought of something funny to say, playful and kittenish, she keeps company with writers and artists. She vamped her way through one-reelers in the Silent Era. Shared a loft with a bongo player, taught modern dance in the 1950's. She posed for a famous abstract artist in the 1960's, who depicted her as shapes hanging from strings. And she penned a tattletale best seller in the 70's, ensuring her future as a talk-show guest right into the 80's.  Created in Stonecast™, the average size is 5" x 7", and the Miniature size is 3" x 4".

Emma is alight in the romantic glow of a fireside seduction. She is a study in red and white and the sweep of her picture hat is peppered with polka dots. The hat is accented by the curve of a perfect white feather found fallen from the tail of a crane that danced on the frozen steppes of Siberia. Emma's cat, Princess, is tempted by the dangling retrice and would playfully attack it were it not for Emma's firm but gentle grip on the frolicsome feline. Her impatient paramour awaits.

Elegant, a classic beauty. Danced the Charleston with bootleggers in the 1920's. In 1935, hired a private eye to follow her husband. In the 50's Eve joined the PTA and worried about Communism. By the 60's, she was hosting elegant soirees for the Republican Party, quitting to join a commune and grow organic carrots in the 1970's. The 80's were a glittery whirl of dance, romance, finance and padded shoulders. In the 1990's, she was presiding over an Internet startup and leading hostile takeovers.  Created in Stonecast™, the average size is 5" x 7", and the Miniature size is 3" x 4".

Romantic, loves red roses, and grows them herself. Well brought up, overly pampered in the early 1800's, but by the turn of the century had matured through tragic events. In her 1932 film debut she raised an eyebrow and upstaged the star. A big-band singer in the 1940’s, sang torchy ballads. In the fifties, she became a political advisor. Joined the Peace Corp in the 1960's after graduating Bryn Mawr.  Created in Stonecast™, the average size is 5" x 7", and the Miniature size is 3" x 4".

fresh and poised in her coral and black suit and shimmering good-luck brooch, watches the ponies run at the Belmont Stakes.  Her matching skimmer with its froth of ribbon is embellished by a clever horse-hair hatband pulled from the tail of her own filly, Glamorous Outlook, who has just thundered across the finish line a length ahead of the rest of pack, breaking the track record for grace, charm, and beauty.  Created in Stonecast™, the average size is 5" x 7", and the Miniature size is 3" x 4".

First Male Character from the Cameo Girls collection.
Roy is dapper in a white tie and top hat.  He takes the gloved hand of the lovely lady at the Paramount Hotel Ballroom, fox-trotting round the dance floor to the red hot sounds of Snooks, Friedman and his Memphis Stompers.  Surefooted and nimble, he can do the Lindy Hop without losing a petal from the carnation or breaking a sweat in his elegant tuxedo.  Fred and Ginger beg him for dance tips and when James Cagney saw him do the Cakewalk, he switched from being a Hollywood hoofer to a Hollywood hoodlum, never to put on tap shoes again.

Headstrong and independent, dares to be different. Comes from old money, has a sugar daddy and a trust fund. An expert horsewoman in the 1840’s, and owned a Kentucky horse farm. Tired of country life, moved to Paris in 1910, posing for naughty postcards. In the 1950's, Sasha snared a rich postcard collector, who tucked her away in his penthouse. Rented a flat in London in the 1970's. A Disco Diva and fashion victim in the 1980's.  Created in Stonecast™, the average size is 5" x 7", and the Miniature size is 3" x 4".
